Overall visits are up. 5,331 pageviews with 2.22 pages per visit and about 1.48 minutes average time spent on the site plus 37.45% new visits. 25.13% of all visits came from 46 cities throughout the immediate market.  But is the online marketing plan actually working?

It's one of the most common questions we address. It may sound much like your shrink  (no, not yours personally)  but we start to answer the question with a question: "What are your goals?"

Are you trying to drive traffic to your website? Perhaps you need more bodies walking through the door of your retail shop? Are you just trying to build overall brand awareness? Do you want to be the local expert within a niche market? There's a lot to consider when establishing your goals. Set them. Measure them. Review them. Refine them.

It's an ongoing process. Prepare for the long-haul and stick with it!

A good domain name is vital to a successful internet brand managment. The .com domain remains foremost in the public mindset. (Nearly 73% of all domain registrations are .com with .net in second place at less than 11%.) If you're serious about marketing your business online, choose a .com as your primary domain. It's also important to have something short and memorable. Try to avoid anything with cryptic acronyms or special characters that aren't immediately idenitified with your brand. Keep it simple and make life easy for you and your audience!

Most domain names are pretty inexpensive, and a good domain name can save you thousands of dollars in marketing and advertising, whether online or otherwise.

Like a successful brand, a very successful blog has substance -- really great content! Consistently offer something useful for your readers and they will follow. This particular blog started years ago as we first launched with the eQuip Insights email marketing campaign.
