Domain Renewals

One of the most important responsibilities we have at NuMedia Marketing, Inc. is to maintain compliance with ICANN and the regulations outlined in the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) for our registrar. The RAA clarifies the responsibilities between registrars and the rights of domain registrants. In 2013, ICANN made several changes to the RAA that impacted the process for how domain renewals are handled. In an ongoing effort to maintain flexible payment options while ensuring the highest level of compliance we are further updating the current notification process.

Effective February 1, 2015, all domain registrants will receive domain renewal notices with the following schedule regardless of the method of payment: Two alerts will be sent between 26 and 35 days before expiration, and one more between 4 and 10 days prior to expiration.  In addition, one last notice will be sent within 5 days post domain expiration.

Because the domain reclamation process may be both costly and time-consuming when a domain registrant allows a renewal to lapse and the registration expire, most domain renewals are processed automatically on behalf of NuMedia Marketing, Inc. clients regardless of payment method as a value-added service.

If you have any questions regarding your domain registrations or renewal status, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
